Pangolin Rehabilitation

Striving to create awareness for the Plight of the Pangolin

The Pangolin – a vulnerable, harmless and scarce creature. This gentle animal resembles an artichoke or a pine cone when it rolls itself into a ball when feeling threatened. Thus, a little seed starting evolving in our minds. A small little ball, covered in scales, rolled into our lives and hearts. The Pango Brand that we developed from this image is in its infancy but the threat to pangolins is not.

Our love of nature, and the monotony of lockdown prompted us to combine a small enterprise with fund raising to help save this highly trafficked, unique mammal.

To see a pangolin in the wild is the holy grail to many safari enthusiasts. But pangolins are trafficked ten times more than rhinos. Their meat is sought after in China and Vietnam and their scales and blood are used for medicinal purposes.

As a family we have developed a passion for these quirky mammals and aim to assist in their protection and rehabilitation.

Pango Inspired is about creating awareness and raising funds for the endangered pangolin through the sale of branded pangolin merchandise to wildlife lovers and rehabilitation centres in South Africa.

Currently we donate 20% per Pango product sold online to the Johannesburg Wildlife Veterinary Hospital and Rehabilitation facility who do incredible work with pangolins.
